Tug-of-War Federation President Eray Aldemir Pays a Congratulatory Visit to Hüseyin Kılıç Mr. Eray Aldemir, President of the Tug-of-War Federation, and our Board Member Türkan Ünlü visited Mr. Hüseyin Kılıç, the Mezitli AK Party District Chair. During the visit, a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the federation’s national goals, the scope of activities in the district, and future projects. President Aldemir also wished Mr. Hüseyin Kılıç success in his new role and extended his best wishes. This visit, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, was regarded as an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the federation and the local administration. President Aldemir presented Mr. Hüseyin Kılıç with the National Tug-of-War Team jersey.

Attention to our Rope Pulling Federation Referees and Coaches!!!

Attention to Our Tug-of-War Federation Referees and Coaches!!! On February 20, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., our 2025 referee and coach development and certification seminar will be held via Zoom. The seminar is free of charge, and those who do not attend will definitely not be assigned duties Following the certification seminar, at 9:00 PM, a presentation on sports science, sports psychology, sports officiating, and coaching will begin, delivered by academic professors and doctors. Referees and coaches will be able to watch this via Zoom. Coaches and referees participating in the seminar must submit their criminal background check, sports disciplinary record, and a recent photograph taken within the last 6 months to the email address I will provide by February 15, 2025. These documents must be sent to halatcekmemersin@gmail.com. On Saturday, February 22, a consultation meeting regarding rope pulling will be held at 2:00 PM at the sports club located on the first floor of the Aslıhan Business Center, next to the Nobel Hotel, organized by Mustafa Güven. This meeting will include coaches and referees registered in the Mersin province, as well as district representatives, and will be attended by the Federation’s Executive Board. All coaches and referees registered in the system in Mersin are required to attend.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE PUBLIC AND THE TUG-OF-WAR COMMUNITY

TO THE PUBLIC AND THE TUG-OF-WAR COMMUNITY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT We have just completed a historic milestone for the sport of tug-of-war. Our Tug-of-War Federation has attained official status and has been formally incorporated under the umbrella of the Turkish Federation of Traditional Sports. This significant development marks a major step toward the institutionalization, popularization, and future strengthening of the sport of tug-of-war. With our Federation gaining official recognition, our athletes and clubs will be able to operate on a more solid foundation, paving the way for stronger representation on both the national and international stages. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, and his team, who played a major role in the successful completion of this process; to our Minister of Youth and Sports, Mr. Osman Aşkın BAK, and his team, who have always stood by our side; and to the General Directorate of Youth and Sports and all its staff. Thanks to their support and vision, the sport of tug-of-war will achieve the status it deserves in our country. As the Tug-of-War Federation, we will continue to work under the umbrella of the Turkish Traditional Sports Federation to advance our sport, reach more athletes, and represent our country to the best of our ability on international platforms. I hope this important milestone brings blessings to the entire rope pulling community, and I thank our athletes, our clubs, and everyone who contributed to this achievement.
