During the visit, the achievements of the national athletes and the work carried out by the Turkish Tug-of-War Federation were discussed. It was emphasized that the achievements on the international stage are a great source of pride for both Silifke and Turkey. Silifke District National Education Director Fevzi Kültiğin Eroğlu drew attention to the importance of sports in the development of young people, stating that education and sports should always be intertwined. In his speech, Eroğlu stated that sports play a very important role in helping young people gain disciplined work ethic, team spirit, and national consciousness, adding, “We are extremely proud that young people from Silifke successfully represent our country in international organizations. We will continue to support such achievements.” During the visit, a plaque was presented to Mr. Fevzi Kültiğin Eroğlu, the District Director of National Education, by Eray Aldemir, the President of the Turkish Tug-of-War Federation, in recognition of his support for the Turan Cup. Eray Aldemir, in turn, thanked them for their interest and support, emphasizing the great importance of young athletes becoming successful individuals in both their education and sports lives.
