The European Tug-of-War Federation Congress Was Held in Belgrade, the Capital of Serbia, from April 11–13, 2025 The European Tug-of-War Federation Congress, held in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, from April 11–13, 2025, was attended by our Federation President Eray ALDEMİR and General Secretary Recep Yurtsever, representing our country. During the Congress, the results of the 2024 activities were evaluated, and the 2025 budget and work plan were approved. In addition, plans were made for international competitions to be held in 2025, 2026, and 2027, and elections were held for the Federation’s Executive Board, General Coordination, Auditors, and Candidacy Commission. Furthermore, the membership application of a new candidate country was reviewed, and its admission to membership was discussed. Mr. Anders Anderson, Secretary General of the European Tug-of-War Federation, presented the final report for 2024 to the participants and provided information regarding the action plan for 2025. During the meeting, our Federation President, Mr. Eray ALDEMİR, delivered a comprehensive presentation on current activities related to the sport of tug-of-war in our country as well as future projects; he provided participants with detailed information on the development of tug-of-war in Turkey, its organizational capacity, and its openness to international cooperation. This conference, during which important contacts were established to enhance our country’s presence in the sport of tug-of-war and increase its visibility on the international stage, proved to be highly productive in terms of both the exchange of information and opportunities for collaboration.
